What is in the sample campaign
It is shaped like a real DC council race. There are 8 wards, 180 volunteers, 32 voting sites, 8 canvass launches, and more than 250 shifts.
Election day is always about a month away, so you land mid-season. A few weeks of canvassing already happened, so the records of who shows up are real enough to rank by.
The people are all made up. Anything you book or change is wiped overnight, so click everything.
Five things to try
Find the conflict
Two volunteers are booked at two sites at 6am on election day. Open Conflicts and Gaps to see them flagged.
Fill a gap
Pick an open shift and tap Fill. Watch it rank people by ward, by site history, and by who shows up.
Read the coverage report
Open Reports and download the summary. During early voting, this is the email the field director gets at 7am.
Ask the assistant
Ask which wards are thinnest, or who has missed shifts. It answers from the live data and shows its sources.
Plan an event
Create a phone bank with time slots. You get a public sign-up page, reminders, and a check-in list.
Then picture your race
Everything works the same after a ten-minute setup with your wards and your list. See how it works.
Know by Friday who is covering Saturday
- Every shift sits on one grid, from canvass launches to election day.
- The gap panel ranks who to ask by ward and by who shows up.
- Reminders go out the day before, and no-shows are tracked.
The gap panel tells you who to text for each open shift. In a 2020 test with 1,220 volunteers, people asked by text showed up more than 3 times as often as people sent only an email. Read the study.
